Snipping Tool

The Snipping Tool is a tool that is used on a Microsoft Operating System to capture a part of the screen and saved that capture in a picture format for later use. This is a great tool, and while I was aware of the screen shot option, I was unaware of the Snipping Tool. I have a Macbook and in the Linux Operating System it is called the Grab Tool and is used in a very similar way, with similar results. For this project I had to use a computer with a Microsoft Operating System, so I could complete the necessary steps.

Below you will find the image I captured using the Snipping Tool.

I created this document, and used the Snipping Tool to demonstrate how the use of the Snipping Tool would be beneficial to me. I could use this image in a Business Computer Application Course when we are concentrating on Excel Instruction. Using the specific Image I could show what the SUM Function looks like, and how it should be correctly typed. This will prove to be very beneficial in a classroom setting.

2. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
By using the snipping tool to take basically a snap or screen shot of a document or a web page or basically anything that could be used for educational purposes meets the criteria of this assignment. We are using technology and then taking a snap of that technology to explain and teach our students with.

3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning
By presenting this document weather it be used in the classroom or just being placed on our blog, we are demonstrating our use of technology and how it can aid in classroom instruction. As well it will help our students to understand that we are technology savy as well!
